Eli Whitney Invented this so that way people didn't have to sort or clean the cotton-wool from the seeds by hand anymore. With the use of this invention it got ready for spinning and could be sent to the mills. Many of tons of people were able to buy cheaper clothes because of this new invention. It started fifty-years earlier than England. Also because of this machine our nation instead of being a commercial nation it had become and industrial nation. People had wanted to steel his invention. They know they couldn't. So with his money he decided to buy guns after all the court frustration. Still today, people love the feel of the cotton clothes. They are very useful to our nation. I am glad to say i wear cotton. He did a magnificent job on making such an invention to help clothe the ones in need of clothing.
